About our foundation and who we are

ABOUT OUR FOUNDATION

The Eyad Karkoutly Lymphoma Leukemia Research Foundation was founded in honor of our beloved husband, son, brother, and friend, Eyad Karkoutly, who was diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and succumbed to disease in 2014.

Our mission of the Eyad Karkoutly Lymphoma Leukemia Research Foundation is to monetarily support the research of blood cancers, in effort to advance treatment options for chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and make strides towards finding a cure.

A MESSAGE FROM OUR FOUNDER

There are no words that can express the sadness and pain of a mother who lost her first-born child. Eyad was my hero and my beautiful angel. He was everything a mother could ever ask for in a son and more.  Even though I find the warmth and strength everyday from my family to move forward, it will forever be my life’s goal to never let his memory slip away.

What I’ve learned from this experience is that everyone who looses someone to cancer can eventually harness their anger and pain into helping others, not only to make it through each day, but to join in the fight to find a cure for lymphoma and leukemia.

The Eyad Karkoutly Lymphoma Leukemia Research Foundation is dedicated to funding biomedical research focused on identifying the origins and further developing treatment options for chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), in effort towards ultimately finding a cure to end all blood cancers.
